In light of the Covid-19 pandemic that has led to unforeseen extensive and increasing border restrictions by various countries, after careful consideration, the Board of Directors of AirAsia X Berhad (flight code D7) (“the Company”) has resolved to temporarily hibernate most of its aircraft at its hub in Kuala Lumpur from 28 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 (“Flight Suspension”).

This Flight Suspension is necessary to ensure sustainability of the business and is the right thing to do to ensure the well-being of our guests and employees, which will remain top priority of our business during this challenging time.

The Company will continue to evaluate the situation closely and the Company is prepared to reinstate the services as soon as the situation improves, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

During this challenging time, the Company remains committed to assisting the relevant government authorities to support the repatriation of travellers and shipment of goods.
